    Welcome

(Important note: this site is under rapid development. Please be patient as we continue to work on it. The intention is that it should be useful as it is, but will be getting more organized and more complete fast.)

Hi. I’m Tim Berry, author of The Plan-As-You-Go Business Plan, published by Entrepreneur Press, and conceptual author of Business Plan Pro, by Palo Alto Software. I’ve been asked to help you develop your business plan for the Imagine Cup 2009 competition.

What I want to do here is offer you practical tips and suggestions, plus some tools and instructions on how to use them, to help you put together your submissions and develop the plan in the background.

It starts, of course, with what’s in a business plan. No, not necessarily the complete formal full-blown business plan document that you probably fear and dread, but the starter plan that you need to submit for the qualifying round. That’s due before midnight January 15, 2009.  For more on that, find the starter plan entries in the categories.
